I feel like I’m twelve years old, and often think, When I grow up… Then I see a photograph of myself, and realize: Holy crap. I am grown up. The gap between chronological age and emotional age is a real preoccupation for me. As a kid, I felt old. As an adult, I feel like a kid. we joke around that being a kid means feeling carefree. My childhood was far from that. As an adult, I’ve had my share of grown-up problems. But inside, a little kid wants to go out and play. I get really excited about chocolate. I love animals (especially weird-looking ones) and as previously noted, anything shiny and sparkly.
